John is in
the South Tirral. It has been very hot and 35 degrees in the valley! Last night
he stayed in a bivi hut, a hut for one at 2600m, sleeping above the clouds with
an amazing sun rise. Today he made it above the snow line for the first time,
and onto a snowy ridge, above 3200m. He had another long 13 hour day. However
John is suffering from an injury that is slowing him down. He has hurt a muscle
above his knee which is causing a jabbing pain particularly worse when he descends.
For a bit of luxury he is staying in a
hotel tonight.
