Sponsor Charities

I'm very much aware of the privilege of being able to take 2 months off work to indulge my passion.  I'm therefore using it as an excuse to raise money for two charities: one local and one international.  I'd also like to help raise the profile of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (see below).  I'd be happy to give a talk when I'm back as a fundraiser for the charities.  Please support them if you can.

Manna House
https://www.justgiving.com/John-FleetwoodManna House works for the benefit of the public in South Lakeland, providing advice, advocacy and a drop-in support centre for those who are homeless, vulnerably housed, lonely or needing help.  Manna support some of the most disadvantaged people in the area and your support will help them to give people a chance of a better life.  Manna House Web Site

Amazon Savers
Amazon Savers is the charitable arm of The Cochabamba Project.  Cochabamba Project Web Site.  This is a co-operative funding a pioneering reforestation project in Bolivia, that is tackling the economic root cause of deforestation in the Amazon.   Your donations go to support poor farmer communities in Bolivia and enable them to earn their way out of poverty, and at the same time, to establish a new model of sustainable forestry.  You can also sponsor farmers or trees.

European Outdoor Conservation Association
Also I'm promoting the work of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA). EOCA is a charity working with and raising money from the European outdoor industry, supporting valuable conservation work and promoting care and respect for wild places.  In 9 years of existence, EOCA has raised €1.75million, 100% of which has been put into on-the-ground conservation projects worldwide.   Apparently EOCA hasn't got many projects in the European Alps, so if anyone out there knows of a deserving project, please get in touch.  EOCA Web Site
