Piz Palu from the Diavolezza

A long day up the valley and over the Piz Paradisin leads to the Diavolezza Hotel, before one of the potential highlights of the trip, a spectacular high snow ridge from Piz Palu to the Piz Bernina over the intervening summits. Its 30km from here to the unmanned Rifugio Desio, that allows an ascent of Monte Disgrazia and from there the rough but real 'mountain' traversing route under the Piz Badile chain to Chiavenna.
